Dinner in a Small Town

One Friday after work, we jumped in the car and headed about an hour down the road to the small town of Ridge Spring, SC to eat dinner at Juniper, where a friends friend was the musical entertainment.

Adorable back room. How cute would this be for a big dinner party to have to whole back room?

Drinks were served in mason jars.  Yummy biscuits with homemade peach butter to start. Mediterranean Pasta Salad as a pre-dinner snack from the chef.Salad was up next.
  Some opted for soup.

A sampling of entree’s from the table

We asked for dessert but only if the bananas foster could be made in our presence.

Others opted for brownie sundaes!

Love these girls!

If you ever want an adventure, road trip down to Ridge Spring and enjoy a great meal with great service. Thanks for a great night Juniper!

Travel Tuesday : New Orleans Saints Game

So I’m a New Orleans Saints fan. You can blame it on a boy, but once I’m committed to a team, I’m committed and there is no changing my mind. So this past fall as part of our football weekend, we drove down to New Orleans from Ole Miss to go to the 2nd football game of the weekend.

The NFL takes their entrances seriously.

We left Oxford about 5 am to make it to the game so we were a bit delirious at one point.

The game ended up going into overtime and the Saints lost. To the Titans. Who I’m pretty sure only won 2 games all season. Okay, so it was 3, but still. I was banking on the Saints winning this one. It was still a fun game regardless.

I did get her to wear the right colors. She isn’t a fan, because of said boy mentioned earlier.

Check back next week for playing tourist around New Orleans the next day after the game.

Who is your favorite NFL team and have you ever been to one of their games?

Travel Tuesday : Girls Beach Weekend

Back in August, the girls and I packed our bathing suits and beach chairs and headed down to the beach. It was such a great weekend full of sunshine, ice cream, laughter, flash tats, friendships strengthened and time exploring.

Of course we had to join in on the newest trend and put on these cool tats 🙂

Dreamy.

These beach spikers from Kaileys Monogram on Etsy where so helpful! Kept our drinks out of the sand. Go check out Kaileys Monogram on Etsy, there are so many color spikers to choose from.

If you are looking for a quite, relaxing beach for vacation, look into Fripp Island. It’s a gated community, not crowded an beautiful.

Ice cream at the beach is one of my favorite things.

Fripp Island is full of deer that just roam around the island.

Love this tradition we began last summer and plan to continue for many, many years to come.

It’s been a crazy week, so all I have for you are a few pictures from my last minute trip down to Athens last weekend. But I do promise next week I have some good stuff planned from our tailgate plans this weekend.

Met up with my work friends down in Athens. So fun to have fun together and not worry about work.

Sweet Alice who invited me to go to the game with her!

How I was feeling during the game. Georgia is a good team.

I did think the pom poms the leave on the seats were fun!

A Blissful Haven

A Blissful Haven

Football season is in full swing yall! The Gamecocks took home the W last week. Listen, a win is a win, even if its an ugly win. Since last week’s game was in Charlotte in a neutral location, I decided to tackle neutral site locations first. The game was in Charlotte, which is one of my favorite cities, so it was easy for me to plan out pregame. I left work early, got some things done around the house AKA finished packing and made lunch and hit the road to Charlotte. My parents were running a tad late (normal these days) so I had time to relax in the hotel room and get ready unrushed.

Neutral site games can be hard to drag all of your stuff to unknown territory, even the opposing team doesn’t really know what they are getting themselves into. As my parents were coming into town, I called in and went a picked up some of our favorite BBQ at Queen City Q. They picked me up there and we headed to Bank of America Stadium to find a place to park and eat our delicious dinner. Then it was GAME TIME! My sweet parents surprised me with CLUB LEVEL SEATS!!!! It was so fun!

We love victory selfies!

Football season is truly the best season of the year!! How’s your team doing this year?

Travel Tuesday : Nashville Food Edition

Since the food in Nashville was so great, I decided to do a separate food post. You can read about the non food parts of the trip here.

After checking in, I found this burger place, Burger Up, on Yelp with great reviews, so we headed to the cutest little area of town and grubbed on this delicious burger.

The Tennessee Sweetwater White Cheddar Cheese was delicious!

After lunch, we found this little Popsicle shop that we popped into.

It’s not a trip to Nashville without eating some barbecue. This place was packed the entire time we were there, which happened to be after 9 PM. If you find yourself in Nashville, head over to Jack’s BBQ, you won’t regret it.Saturday morning, I really wanted a bagel. After some research, I found a bagel food truck!!! that happened to be a farmers market in town. We through on some clothes and decided to be like the locals. I love going to cities and heading off the beaten path and hanging out with the locals.

An afternoon snack of Fried Broccoli at Pinewood Social, y’all it was great and the perfect afternoon pick me up.

The problem with getting busy is forgetting some details of the trip for the blog post. Whoops. So after the fireworks, we went to a Mexican place, for margs and tacos. The taco was great, but I have no idea what the name of the place is. It’s somewhere downtown.

Brunch is my absolute favorite. Literally, favorite.  We actually passed by a biscuit place the night before, but we couldn’t find it Sunday morning. So Puckett’s it was and a great choice it was.

I choose the breakfast buffet. Literally everything breakfast you can think of was available. I left with a full belly and heart.

Annie got the slider trio. It was brisket, chicken and pork. What fun to be able to try each of these while in Nashville.

Where is your favorite place to eat in Nashville?
