Dinner in a Small Town

One Friday after work, we jumped in the car and headed about an hour down the road to the small town of Ridge Spring, SC to eat dinner at Juniper, where a friends friend was the musical entertainment.

Adorable back room. How cute would this be for a big dinner party to have to whole back room?

Drinks were served in mason jars.  Yummy biscuits with homemade peach butter to start. Mediterranean Pasta Salad as a pre-dinner snack from the chef.Salad was up next.
  Some opted for soup.

A sampling of entree’s from the table

We asked for dessert but only if the bananas foster could be made in our presence.

Others opted for brownie sundaes!

Love these girls!

If you ever want an adventure, road trip down to Ridge Spring and enjoy a great meal with great service. Thanks for a great night Juniper!

A Blissful Haven

A Blissful Haven

So this week, I’m taking you through a tailgate draft. Think fantasy football, you have a salary cap, you have a list of tailgating items and you can only spend $25. What do you get for your tailgate?

Man Crates-Tailgate_v04a1. First up. T-bones. $6

What is a tailgate without something on the grill? A steak is one of my absolute favorites.

2. Dogs/Burgers $3

Burger is my number 2 for favorite tailgating foods. Not everyone goes for a steak, so you have to please the rest of your guests.

3. Beer $4

Need I say more?

4. Cornhole $2

If you are anything like my family and I, you are tailgating HOURS before the game starts. You can only eat so much. So you make friends and play cornhole. The game can get a little lot competitive at times 🙂

5. Man Crate $5

Have you ever heard of Man Crates? They are these awesome crates that are filled will all sorts of different man things shipped right to your favorite man. For this tailgate, I’m choosing the Grilled and Stuffed Crate. Make sure to check out their other gifts for men and let me know which crate you would choose!

gs_american_grilled_and_stuffed_burger_gift_kit_for_guys__67100.1436998122.1280.1280

Let’s stuff those burgers we are throwing on the grill, am I right?!

6. Tunes $2

Who doesn’t like a little Luke Bryan or Zac Brown Band parking lot dance party?

7. Football $1

Not everyone can play cornhole at the same time, ya know!

Total $23

Tell me! What would you draft? What is your number 1 tailgate need?

A Blissful Haven

A Blissful Haven

So when your team isn’t having a very good season, you get stuck with all the noon kickoffs and your breakfast making has to get really creative.

So this week, I made crescents filled with bacon/sausage, egg and of course cheese. I made these for work earlier in the week and cooked everything the night before since you bake it anyway and that worked great as well. So, if you have a super early morning, that is also an option.

I wanted to make them bigger, so I kept 2 crescents together. When I made them for work, I made them smaller and cut the sausage links in half.

And what’s breakfast without something a little sweet?

IMG_8277

We ended up eating at my house since it was raining and someone (not me) refused to go out in the rain that early and wouldn’t get ready so we couldn’t leave.

What is your favorite breakfast food for tailgating? We’ve got some more noon games coming up and need some ideas! Don’t forget to scroll back up and add your football link!

Grilled Yumness

Monday night grilling is still going strong. I had seen this pin back in the spring and new that I had to try these. Then when my friend Laura sent me the pin on , then I knew I had to try them.

French fries cooked on the grill, with cheese and bacon. And then we added some ranch.

This picture doesn’t really even do them justice.

For real, add this to your list of things to make ASAP.

What is your favorite thing to grill?

Chicken Biscuits

So I was at the grocery store the other night trying to get groceries for the week and decide what I wanted for dinner that night. #mealplanfail

I had a craving for biscuits but could not just eat biscuits for dinner (although it has been done in the past) so I decided to try to make my own chicken biscuits. I already had some seasoning at home for the chicken. Sorry I can’t be more helpful in telling you what kind it is, but its from the mountains of Virginia and that is about all I know. Oh and it is GOOD! So I grabbed some chicken and biscuit mix.IMG_7825

Dip your chicken in egg and then cover in seasoning.

IMG_7826

Cover it well 🙂

IMG_7827

Put in a pan to fry.

IMG_7828

Meanwhile, let the biscuits cook.

Cut the biscuit in half, insert chicken and enjoy!

I will absolutely be making these again for dinner and breakfast brunch.

Enjoy!
